Google just quietly updated AI Studio — and it's kind of a big deal for anyone who builds apps.

Here's what dropped:

1. Nano Banana image gen — AI Studio now auto-generates custom images for your app while it's being built. No more placeholder assets or jumping into Photoshop.

2. Visual Edit Mode — Click any UI element, draw on it, leave a note, and it updates live. No code. No Figma. Just point and describe.

I tested it myself — typed a prompt, got a working app interface in seconds, circled a button, wrote "make this bigger and purple" and the layout just... changed.

Then swapped a boring placeholder with a custom AI-generated illustration in one click.
