It may not be Sunny the dog, but they’re still our furry friends! 🦌 Elk have been a part of the Banff National Park ecosystem for thousands of years. It’s estimated a near 350 live in the National Park and around 200 in the lower Bow Valley which means you’ll most likely see them when you visit. 
However, with calving season just beginning, it’s important we give space and respect to the Elk as they can become quite dangerous. It’s their home, and our course provides essential needs to keep them coming back for thousands of years more.
