સાવરકુંડલામાં ગૌ માતાને રાષ્ટ્રમાતાનો દરજ્જો અપાવવા માટે ગૌ ભક્તોમાં ભારે ઉત્સાહ જોવા મળ્યો છે. દેશભરમાં ચાલી રહેલા ગૌ સંરક્ષણ અભિયાનના ભાગરૂપે સાવરકુંડલામાં ગૌ રક્ષકો અને ગૌ પ્રેમીઓ મોટી સંખ્યામાં એકત્રિત થયા હતા. આ દરમિયાન મામલતદારને પ્રાર્થના પત્ર પાઠવી ગૌ માતાને બંધારણીય સન્માન આપવાની માંગ કરવામાં આવી હતી. સાથે જ ગૌ સેવા મંત્રાલયની સ્થાપનાની માંગ પણ ઉઠાવવામાં આવી હતી. ગૌ ભક્તોએ જણાવ્યું કે. દેશના હજારો તાલુકાઓમાં આ અભિયાન ચાલી રહ્યું છે. જેમાં ગુજરાત અને અમરેલી જિલ્લાના અનેક તાલુકાઓ પણ જોડાયા છે. ગૌ માતાના સન્માન માટે લોકો મિસ્ડ કોલ દ્વારા પણ પોતાનું સમર્થન નોંધાવી રહ્યા હોવાનું જણાવાયું છે. સમગ્ર કાર્યક્રમ દરમિયાન ગૌ માતાના સમર્થનમાં સૂત્રોચ્ચાર અને રેલીનું આયોજન પણ કરવામાં આવ્યું હતું.
