They're back! The fabulous American Flamingos are officially outside for the season and are busy strutting their stuff in their Mayan Temple habitat 💖

Almost 50 years later, this particular species still calls your Toronto Zoo home, including Phoebe, Pinkie and Brain! This trio arrived here in 1977 as part of the first flamboyance.

American flamingos are also one of the largest species of flamingo. Found in the Caribbean and along the northern coast of South America, these extraordinarily social birds live in flocks that sometimes number in the thousands. A pigment in their food also gives their feathers a flamboyant pink colour 🦩

Stop by and say hello to these long-legged Zoo icons during your next visit 📷 #FlamingoFriday
