We are excited to have a High School Takeover Marathon! You can ask questions to our alumni this weekend!

“Hi! My name is Maddie Bussell and I spent this past summer in the French Language and Culture Program in Rennes, France. At first, I was really hesitant about studying abroad, but now I regret absolutely nothing. I learned so much, not only about French, but also about myself! It was such an enlightening experience for me, and I would 100% recommend anybody who is interested in studying abroad to just go for it!

“I chose to study abroad with CIEE because I knew I wanted to travel somewhere but had to find a place where I’d be safe and get to help a community (I specifically wanted to work with kids). I loved my time abroad, I made the best friends who I still talk to 4 months after the trip and I’ve even gotten to visit some of them. What was cool about my trip was the service aspect of it, we were helping a community that had very little money. For our end of summer project we created a Go Fund Me that received lots of donations to help them. Outside of classes I did so many fun things in Merida like an escape room, go karts, ice skating and more. I also really enjoyed getting to go to Valladolid to see Chichen Itza. It was an experience of a lifetime that I’d love to share about.”
