## Caption

For the past few weeks I’ve been thinking about social media in a way that I haven’t really before. 

I think that living on my own and trying to stay in my own little lane while also choosing to share what is going on in my life and what I’ve been processing has been so interesting to me. 

It is truly SO easy to keep up with someone’s daily life through only the lens that they share and think that is their everyday life and I think we are all guilty of that at some point. It’s really easy to think “wow she’s always traveling” or “he really has it all together” or “I wish I was a part of their family” and in that moment a simple share turned into envy and/or false perception of another person. 

Although I (haha obvi) loveeeee social media and all the beauty in sharing and creating, I find myself battling with it often. I want to be in the know of the day in and day out of people that I’m no longer near. I also loveeee sharing with my people especially being that my circle of people don’t all live in the same city, let alone state or country as I do, and it’s been so sweet to let others in!! 

But here I am just thinking about all of its effects and how I am always so hesitant to share when things feel less than perfect. Life never reaches completion and we are all a work in progress and I really do believe that life would feel a little lighter if we all chose to believe that the people that we unconsciously idolize are also just doing their best to make it through each day and are less than perfect. 

So here I am. Just popping in to remind you that life is messy. Beautiful and wonderful at times? Yes, but messy nonetheless. 

I hope you can meet yourself right where you are at in this moment and love yourself through the good, the bad, and the ugly.
