Developing: Someone was hit by a Metro train after officials believe they accidentally fell onto the tracks Friday afternoon in Northeast D.C.⁠

The person fell onto the tracks at the Rhode Island Avenue station and was hit by a Red Line train at about noon, Metro said. Crews rescued the victim and rushed them to a hospital while conscious and breathing.⁠
