A statement to open the campaign.

Christian “Train” Baumgartner uncorked the first goal of the season and Steel City never looked back. 

Diego Camarena buried two goals and added an assist in a relentless attacking display as the hosts poured in five on opening night at Slammers Stadium.

Tim Slusarczyk netted a 30 yard bomb and Shady Omar opened his Steel account. 

Make no mistake - FC Select will take points off teams in this division.

Steel City were that comprehensive. 

It wasn’t even fully polished yet. New faces. New combinations. First real night playing together - the chemistry is still a step away from complete rhythm.

And that’s the dangerous part.
