A houseboat in Port Washington is on the market for $299,999. While only cash offers are being accepted, the price tag is far lower than typical homes in the pricey North Shore neighborhood.

So far this year, single-family home sales in Port Washington have ranged from $650,000 to $2.4 million in closing price, according to data from OneKey MLS.

There are no property taxes on the houseboat, but there is a $1,500 monthly docking fee, a $20 per month water charge and the owner will also be responsible for the electric bill, said a real estate agent.
