Thomas Bernagozzi, a retired third-grade teacher, has been sentenced to up to 50 years in prison for sexually abusing students.

Bernagozzi, 77, was convicted by a Suffolk jury of sodomy, sexual conduct against a child and three counts of possession of a sexual performance by a child for allegations involving three different Bay Shore students.
