A jury has reached a verdict in the penalty phase for the four men convicted in the murder of Florida rapper #JulioFoolio. Rashad Murphy, Davion Murphy, Sean Gathright, and Isaiah Chance were all recommended to receive life sentences without the possibility of parole per @fox13news.

If you recall, Foolio was in Tampa celebrating his 26th birthday in June 2024, when he was fatally shot outside a group of hotels near USF on McKinley Drive. Prosecutors said the men tracked him from multiple Tampa nightclubs before opening fire in the hotel parking lot. Surveillance footage reportedly showed Foolio’s vehicle attempting to flee the scene before crashing. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities also alleged the defendants were connected to rival gangs and claimed the shooters modified their rifles so shell casings would not be left behind. Before the shooting, Foolio had posted on Instagram that police had kicked him out of an Airbnb before he moved the celebration to another location.
