#TSRUpdatez: On Sunday, the passengers who were aboard the #MVHondius cruise ship, which had been affected by hantavirus, disembarked in the Canary Islands. The passengers were chartered on military and government planes back to their home countries.

According to apnews, health officials said one of the 17 American passengers evacuated from the ship has tested positive, but is not showing symptoms. Another person developed mild symptoms. The aircraft carrying the American passengers arrived in Omaha, Nebraska, early Monday and were taken to the University of Nebraska Medical Center.

The medical center, which has a federally funded quarantine facility, has a special unit for treating people with highly infectious diseases.

Kayla Thomas, a spokesperson for the Nebraska Medicine hospital, said, “One passenger will be transported to the Nebraska Biocontainment Unit upon arrival, while other passengers will go to the National Quarantine Unit for assessment and monitoring.
