Most of the evacuation orders issued for the destructive Jones Fire along US 60 in Wickenburg were lifted Tuesday morning, officials said.

⚠️ South Kerkes Street is the only area still under a “GO” order, according to the Maricopa County Emergency Management Department. 

⚠️ The rest of the area that was evacuated after the wildfire ignited Monday afternoon was moved to the “SET” status of the state’s emergency alert system.

🏫 The American Red Cross shelter for displaced residents is still open at Wickenburg High School.

🔥🔥🔥Forward progress of the #jonesfire was stopped Monday night after it burned through about 85 acres. The footprint didn’t change overnight, although there was no containment reported as of Tuesday morning.

🚨 Fire officials said eight to 10 RVs were destroyed by the wildfire.
