Last evening in Harlem carried the sound of truth between sisters.
Not performance. Not posturing. Presence.

Deep gratitude to C. Kelly Wright, Vanda Jamison, and every phenomenal woman who stepped into Her Sound. Her Stage. She Said. She Shed. and brought her full frequency into the room.

What unfolded was more than a conversation about jazz. It became a courageous gathering around womanhood, artistry, survival, visibility, creativity, aging, legacy, business, motherhood, leadership, and the sacred act of continuing anyway.

There is something powerful about Black women, brown women, women in music — especially in Harlem — choosing to create intentional space for one another without competition choking the air. Just honesty. Wisdom. Laughter. Memory. Music.

We spoke about where we’ve been.
Where we are.
What it cost.
What it healed.
And what still dreams through us.

Jazz has always been more than music.
It is improvisation. Survival. Breath. Storytelling. Seduction. Resistance.
A mirror of life itself.

May this be the beginning of deeper sisterhood, courageous conversations, collaborations, mentorship, and soft places for women in music to land, grow, and be witnessed.

Harlem still sings.
And last night, the women answered back.
