Late to post of Mother’s Day (but shouldn’t everyday be a day we thank our mothers because we are alive?).

I was lucky enough to grow up with a mum. Our relationship wasn’t always perfect, we sure had our struggles. But looking back now, I realize she loved me the best way she knew how.

She raised five kids mostly on her own, without the help of Google or ChatGPT 🤯 and somehow, she got us all through life alive and standing.

The way she disciplined me, protected me, and taught me about life shaped so much of the person I am today. As we grow older, it’s easy to blame our parents for our pain, our habits, or the parts of ourselves we struggle with. But what if they truly gave us the best they could with what they knew?

Yes, our parents influence the first chapters of our lives. But eventually, it becomes our responsibility to decide what we do with our story. Our past can either become the reason we stay stuck or the reason we rise.

So here’s to all the mums who tried their best. The mums who carried us for 9, sometimes even 10 months, sacrificed pieces of themselves. Because the truth is, some women could have made terrible choices while carrying life inside them.

So for the mums who stayed, who sacrificed, who kept trying even when life was heavy- thank you.

Because without you, we wouldn’t even be here. ❤️
