Sitting above Santa Barbara in Mission Canyon, the Whale House is a 1970s Gaudí-inspired structure. Marley Raab drove past it every summer as a kid on the way to camp and told herself she'd buy it one day. In 2024, she and husband Josh did exactly that — taking on a house the previous owners had left in what Josh calls a "Home-Depot-ed" state. They spent two years bringing it back. It's now a top five percent listing on Airbnb. 📍@The Santa Barbara Whale House  A custom copper elevator takes you up past hundreds of Belgian stained glass windows to a bedroom with a claw-foot tub looking out into the treetops. Below in the courtyard, a saltwater pool runs straight through a stone archway into a covered grotto with a swim-up bar on the other side.
