Take a look at this photo. ➡️ This was taken in 1918 of a Red Cross nurse assisting wounded soldiers at a train station in Saint-Étienne, France, during World War I.

At the time, tram cars were sometimes used as ambulances to transport ill and wounded soldiers to hospitals who needed additional or severe medical assistance.
