Graduation might be over, but we’re not finished spotlighting our 2026 yscacademy seniors. This week’s #SeniorSaturday Spotlight shines on recent grad Luis Oliveira! 🎓⚽

Luis has been an important part of the YSC community, bringing passion, personality, and strong connections to those around him throughout his journey. As he takes the next steps after graduation, he reflects on the memories, lessons, and goals that have shaped his experience both on and off the field. From meaningful friendships to big dreams ahead, Luis’s story is one you won’t want to miss.

 Here are his favorite moments at YSC, the advice he has for the next generation, and what’s next on his journey…

— Luis Oliveira 

College Commitment: 
— I am still exploring my options and planning to take a gap year after graduation. During that time, I want to focus on personal growth and soccer opportunities. 

Favorite YSC Memory: 
— My favorite memory at YSC was having lunch with my Brazilian boys every day. We would laugh, make jokes, talk about life, and share food together, which made school feel like home. 

What will you miss most from YSC?
—  I will miss the brotherhood and the strong connections I built with everyone at YSC. I will also miss the closeness with the teachers and how comfortable they made us feel every day. 

Advice for the next generation: 
— Always be yourself and never try to change who you are for others. Take advantage of every opportunity you get because you never know where it can lead you. 

What are your career goals after graduation?
— My career goal after graduation is still to become a professional soccer player. I want to continue working hard and chasing my dream no matter how long it takes.
