The Los Angeles Lakers have signed forward Chris Manon to a two-way contract. Manon is widely regarded as an elite on-ball defender with a high basketball IQ and a relentless motor—qualities that have earned him praise for “playing the right way” on both ends of the court. A three-season standout at Cornell before transferring to Vanderbilt for his senior year, he turned heads this summer in Golden State’s Summer League by averaging 9.0 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 1.6 steals, and 1.4 blocks in seven games.
