Chicago is one of five cities that have been named finalists to host either the 2028 or 2032 DNC, along with Atlanta, Boston, Denver and Philadelphia.⁠

This week, the city’s host committee, which includes Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker and Mayor Brandon Johnson, is hosting party leaders from the DNC, as well as its site selection committee and Technical Advisory Group.⁠

Those officials will hold several days of meetings, and will visit the United Center and other sites that could be part of DNC programming, according to itineraries reviewed by NBC Chicago.⁠
