My 6th #TED. A place where scientists, entrepreneurs, artists, and talented people from all walks of life gather with one mission - how do we push humanity forward.

What I love the most about this gathering is that it has its own unique culture: openness, goodness, intelligence, growth an kindness, which aligns with my values perfectly!

Here are some of the ideas I loved:
1. Steve Huffman, Reddit founder, shared the idea on how they are building an online “city”, not the “stage” (what other social media do). They want citizens who participate and connect, rather than those who perform and fight for attention.

2. You will make a fortune if you can provide unique knowledge or information to AI (look what Mercor and others are doing).

3. Reid Hastings (founder of Netflix) believes that education of the future would still involve people, since we need social and emotional learning. Teacher would become “a sage on the stage” and will be empowered by AI.

4. Bill Gurley, founder of Benchmark Capital, advises to follow fascination and relentless learning to succeed professionally.

5. Probably my favorite talk was by Carissa Veliz, who’s a professor at Oxford University and researches human over-reliance on prediction, and how they can influence people. She argues that prediction is closer to the realm of power rather than to the realm of knowledge. Predictions invite manipulation and can become self fulfilling prophecies, especially supercharged by Ai.

One for the books!
