LIRR workers from five different unions went on strike over pay issues Saturday at 12:01 a.m. But was everyone ready?

We found a number of commuters at Penn Station early Saturday morning who did not yet know about the strike — some were even able to still purchase train tickets.

There is currently no timeframe for when the MTA and unions are expected to be back at the negotiating table.
