Go Blue!

Yay for one of my favorite annual events - the University of Michigan Long Island Alumnae Lunch! This amazing, empowering event puts us back in the room with one of the great Michigan minds of our time. Best part - no boys allowed! There’s a sign on the door of our treehouse. 

Just kidding.

I love this ladies lunch so much because it brings a little piece of Ann Arbor and the uofmichigan to us right here on Long Island. 

In fact, the conversation from last year’s lunch helped launch me into a career change and perfectly apropos - this year’s speaker talked about the importance of mental health!

Thank you Dr. Lindsey Mortenson for your “Mental Health at U-M:
Timeless Challenges & Emerging Concerns” talk today and for our chat about the importance of self care afterwards. This lunch and being in a room of fellow wolverines (not to mention that delicious salad and those amazing rainbow cookies) was my self-care.

It’s always fun to see old friends and make new ones.
