More than 100 people gathered at the Pima County Historic Courthouse this week for the annual Law Enforcement Memorial ceremony honoring officers who lost their lives serving Southern Arizona communities.

The ceremony recognized deputies, corrections officers, and county rangers from the Pima County Sheriff’s Department who passed away in the line of duty dating back as far as 1883.
Officials, community members, and families gathered to remember the lives and sacrifices of the fallen officers during the emotional memorial event in Tucson.

The officers honored included:

• Corrections Officer Shannon Russell (2002)
• Deputy Randall W. Graves (1986)
