Just another day at the hospital!  Lots of mini tornadoes being sent my way from insurance company denials to dealing with Epic (or whatever EMR is being used) to emergent consults.

👉 While I do much of my orthopedic surgery work at an outpatient surgery center, which is much more efficient and actually a much lower cost to the patient than a hospital, I do still have to go to the hospital if patients are sick or their insurance won't allow us to do the procedure at a surgery center.
