If you’re wondering why everyone has suddenly flocked to West London with their cameras, it’s because the city is officially in its “Floral Era.” From the celestial displays in Chelsea to the hidden gems in Richmond, I’ve rounded up the absolute must-visit spots for your spring strolls.

📍Chelsea in Bloom (The Showstopper)
This is London’s largest free floral festival, where the shop fronts of Chelsea turn into literal works of art.

Dates: 18th – 24th May 2026

2026 Theme: “Out of This World” (Expect cosmic displays, star-studded petals, and galactic vibes!)

Top Spots: Sloane Square, Pavilion Road, and King’s Road.

📍RHS Chelsea Flower Show
The world’s most prestigious floral event. Tickets are like gold dust (usually sell out months in advance!), but the atmosphere around the grounds is free for everyone to soak up.

Dates: 19th – 23rd May 2026

Pro Tip: If you haven’t bagged a ticket, just wander the surrounding streets the displays are just as grand!

📍Isabella Plantation, Richmond Park
A total fairytale setting. The azaleas are in full bloom right now, creating a pink and purple paradise reflecting off the ponds.

Best Time: Mid-May (aka Right Now!)

Location: Hidden in the heart of Richmond Park. It’s a bit of a trek, but utterly worth it.

📍Wisteria Hysteria
The “purple rain” is draped over London’s finest mews and townhouses.

Where to find it: Kynance Mews (the icon), Bedford Gardens in Notting Hill, and Cheyne Walk in Chelsea.

Status: Be quick! They’re starting to shed, but the shady corners are still looking lush.
