The Doula Association of Alberta is excited to offer these meaningful trainings as a bundle for Doulas across the province. 

In order to balance accessibility with professional development, all members will be required to complete 10 hours of continuing education (online or in person) each year.​

This may include but is not limited to: observation of childbirth education series, webinars, mentoring, or participation in other applicable continuing education (ie: infant feeding, infant massage, loss support, etc.). Any additional full trainings (ex: postpartum doula training following birth doula training) are also eligible.
These hours are designed to be meaningful but flexible. There will be training opportunities offered by DAA as well a list of ideas for free trainings. That being said, members are by no means limited to training ideas put forward by the DAA. Both free and paid trainings are eligible.

This bundle includes: 

🍂 A Gender and Sexual Diversity Training for Doulas and Birthworkers: An online Zoom training hosted by Tharseo Counselling: Jill Thompson and Gio Dolcecore —3 CEUs —
 
This Training will be held via Zoom on ,  Thursday, September 30th from 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm.

🍂 Infection Prevention & Control Routine Practices Certification —4 CEUs—

PPE Certification through IPAC
 
Includes 6 self-paced modules. In order to receive certification you must receive a minimum of 75% on each exam.
