ADVOCACY UPDATE June 18, 2021

The Doula Association of Alberta (DAA) has reviewed the newly released "Open for Summer" Stage 3 plan, set to start on July 1st. We noted the following information, as it relates to birth professionals and Alberta birthing families:

🌿 Stage 3, at this time has no new specific changes as it relates to hospital policies.

🌿 Birthing person? Please contact your primary care provider to advocate for yourself.

🌿 Doula? Please keep in touch with your Zone Liaison for any future status updates on changes within your community.

Further updates to accessibility and public health guidance will be released as soon as any changes are confirmed.
