## Caption

The biggest mistake of my teenage years was not financial. 

It was shrinking myself to make others comfortable. 

I would laugh off things that didn’t sit right with me. Apologize for things I shouldn’t be sorry for. 

I thought by doing so, I was saving relationships and being likable. 

I had no idea underneath it all, I wasn’t allowing myself to reflect on what I actually thought or felt. 

That cost me years of chasing things and people that never served me in the first place. 

Healing feels selfish at first. But you were never too much. You were just in the wrong places.
