## Caption

The #USAFA Formula SAE team is building more than a race car.
 
As part of a Mechanical Engineering capstone program, cadets design, build and test a formula-style vehicle from the ground up for international competition.
 
After reenergizing the program, the team is now developing a new car set to compete in 2027. Through hands-on engineering, testing and teamwork, cadets gain real-world experience they’ll take into the usairforce and usspaceforce.
