For America’s 250th, omnihotels is celebrating with iconic road trips and we went on one and are excited to share our classic California adventure we took as a family.

On the way to Palm Springs, of course, we had to make the classic stop at the Cabazon Dinosaurs. We took so many photos, walked around for a bit, and honestly… the dinos were even cuter in person. Then it was back on the road and officially into vacation mode once we arrived at rancholaspalmas.

We went straight to the pool for lunch in our cabana, relaxing in the sunshine, and soaking up that warm desert air. It instantly felt like we could slow down and just enjoy being together.

That night we had dinner at Double Date, their Italian restaurant on property, and everything was delicious. My favorite was definitely the roasted cauliflower. We ended the night with dessert in the room and the best sleep after such a fun day.

The next morning we grabbed breakfast at Desert Pearl before heading out to explore El Paseo and all the cutest little shops. Afterwards we drove around Palm Springs seeing some of the iconic spots and landmarks in person. There’s just something so fun about finally seeing places you’ve heard about for years come to life.

Later we cooled off at the pool, floated the lazy river, raced down water slides, and played games in the arcade before getting ready for Tiki Social that night. The food, drinks, music, and vibes made it feel like the perfect summer evening. The Tiki menus are actually a special happening all summer long at many Omni Hotels & Resorts properties across the country.🌺🍹

I also loved learning more about the history of this place. It originally opened in the 1950s as the Desert Air Hotel and welcomed icons like Marilyn Monroe and Bob Hope… and now here we are making our own memories there too.

Before we knew it, it was time to check out. We grabbed one last breakfast before hitting the road again, and left feeling so grateful for the sweetest stay.

Now we’re off to the next stop on our road trip… and I can’t wait to bring you along 🤍
