## Caption

Another look back at the Airwolf commission. Sometimes private commissions surprise you not only with how much fun the idea is but how easy the people are to work with and get to know. This one was one of my best experiences. On the flip side I’ve had some go sideways as well. People ghosting or changing their mind after you start and expecting that to be ok like I’m Amazon or something. I go over all of this and show the back and forth to my students at iad.nec newengcollege. Artists, you should always protect yourself. Get that deposit and never do work for exposure. Early on I got burnt by that too, but that’s another story. 

I never got much in the way of professional and freelance business building during college if anything at all outside make a website, so I make it a point to share everything I’ve learned while being a professional artist the last nearly 20 years with my classes and a little bit here (lots of great Instagram teachers out there, but that’s not what I use my page for).
