BEHIND THE SCENES | Episode 1: “The Art of Product Photography for Fragrance” 📸🎁 Welcome to PART 1 of our new “Behind the Scenes of Running a Business" series! This is Day 1 of us pulling back the curtain on how Ingrid and I run our fragrance company, The New Savant. 🕯️ Today I wanted to jump on and explain how we create our product photography... (spoiler: no AI here, just good old fashioned human ideas and creativity).  Meet Oliver, our brilliant longtime photographer at The New Savant! 🥳 While Ingrid photographed the product for the first year (she did it all), we knew we wanted a professional photographer who could use their expertise to extend the visual language of our ideas.  Oliver has been that person. He has been with us for 3 years and is deeply in tune with our brand's vision and aesthetic, making him an essential partner in bringing our fragrance business to life. Last week, Oliver photographed our newest collection, the Downtime Trio (our first ever glass candles!). For this photo shoot, I gave him a very simple brief: "warm and cozy." And the result is these gorgeous images!! ✨ Oliver’s creativity is key to ensuring our candle photography feels authentic and tells our story.  We wanted to start this series so we can take you a bit behind the scenes into the creative development that comes with launching a new product. Running a fragrance business and telling a product’s story involves more than just scent development. From scent development to web design, graphic design, videography, and capturing the perfect shot, running a successful small fragrance brand involves many creative steps. Oliver’s talent, sharp eye and willingness to experiment is key to that.
