St. Andrew’s Volleyball Director & Head Varsity Coach Announcement 

St. Andrew’s School has hired Jessee Grubesic as the next Volleyball Director and Head Varsity Coach. She takes over from renowned Savannah coach Bobbi Mock, who strengthened the program during her four years at St. Andrew’s. After a successful coaching career, Mock has decided to retire. Under her leadership, the team won 39 matches over the past two seasons, including a 2025 region championship.

Coach Grubesic played collegiate volleyball at three different schools. She began her career at Saint Peter’s University, a Division I school in New Jersey. She then played beach volleyball at San Diego Christian College and finished her career at Savannah State University. Following her career as a collegiate student-athlete, Grubesic served as a Graduate Assistant Coach at Valdosta State University for one season. While on staff at Valdosta State, she coordinated team logistics, assisted with recruiting and scouting reports, and contributed to practice planning and game strategy.

“A talented athlete, great upcoming coach, and great leader. She is going to be a great addition to the St. Andrew’s Athletics program,” said Coach Roselidah Obunaga, head volleyball coach at Savannah State University. ​ Currently, Grubesic coaches club volleyball for Savannah Volleyball Elite and also runs her own business.

“Jessee will bring the energy and character that any team with big goals needs. She is a young coach with the vision and focus to turn any program into a winning program,” said Marco Macias, Savannah Elite Volleyball Director. ​ Coach Grubesic shared the following thoughts on her new role: “I’m incredibly honored and excited to step into the role of Volleyball Director and Head Coach at St. Andrew’s. I’m grateful for the opportunity to lead, mentor, and help build a culture centered around growth, discipline, and passion for the game. I can’t wait to get started and be part of something special within the St. Andrew’s community.”
