The Gryphons women’s rugby team posted a 5-1 record during the regular season and defeated Brock in the playoffs to reach the OUA gold medal game. After falling to the Queen’s Gaels and claiming OUA silver, the Gryphons qualified for nationals with for a 9th consecutive appearance, finishing in 4th place.

The Gryphons men’s rugby team had an unforgettable 2025 season. After an undefeated regular season, the Gryphons captured their fifth consecutive OUA title. At nationals in Montreal, the Gryphons made program history, winning all three of their games to capture the 2025 national title. It marked the first national title in program history, with the Gryphons also becoming the first team from Ontario to lift the Spence McTavish Cup as winners of the Canadian University Men’s Rugby Championships.
