I saw a video today where Ian Clark, Goaltender Coach for the Vancouver Canucks, was talking about the need for athleticism as part of your skill set. Citing situations like blocked shots that go across the grain or quick one touch passes, he noted how important it is to be reactive and have good edges.

With that refresher, we introduced lchapkis37 to the “ fletcherbolda “ drill from our arcadia_mih days. During the drill, player one shoots the puck off the goaltender’s pad to simulate a rebound and has the option of burying it or one touching it across the slot. Nice transition and weight transfer on this play Chappy.
