Last month, U.S. Army soldier Gannon Ken Van Dyke was charged with using classified intelligence to place bets on the timing of the capture of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, netting more than $400,000, according to the Justice Department.

According to the indictment, Van Dyke immediately withdrew his profit and then tried to delete his betting account on Polymarket, the world’s largest online prediction market. He has pleaded not guilty. 

Polymarket says it cooperated with law enforcement.
