Still thinking about The King’s Warden? Me too. 

After watching the movie, I couldn’t stop thinking about it. I actually cried during and after because… why did they have to do that to someone so young? It stayed with me for days. 😭💔 

So I went to Cheongnyeongpo (청령포), the real place where King Danjong was exiled in the 15th century. 

The place is unbelievably beautiful, surrounded by giant pine trees, including one that’s over 600 years old, and calm water. But at the same time, you can still feel the loneliness there. Knowing he was separated from the world at such a young age made everything feel heavier when I saw it in person. 

You have to take a small boat ride to get across, and it really feels like stepping into a story that still carries so much pain even after centuries.
