wait for the end 😭 107 appointments later… today was my last active cancer treatment!!!!! HALLELUJAH. I keep trying to put into words what this season was and I still can’t fully do it. it took more from me than I knew was possible. physically. mentally. emotionally. but it also gave me something I didn’t have before. perspective I could have never learned any other way. I understand now how fragile life really is. how sacred it is to wake up and just… be here. I understand what love looks like. It’s so sweet and patient and tender. and I understand that I was never in control of any of this. God was. the whole time. even when I couldn’t see it. even when I didn’t feel it. there is still healing ahead. still a road in front of me but it’s not a mountain anymore. today marks the end of something I will carry with me forever. and if you’re in a hard season right now… one that feels long and unfair and unfinished… God is not done. He sees the full story and He wastes nothing. My hope is that this experience allows someone else to come to know God because of me. That someone could feel less alone walking down their hard path because they could see me walking mine. I hope that happened. I hope I made God proud. PS I wasn’t going to ring the bell at the end but at my 3rd treatment I saw a woman dressed to the nines. I asked if she was patient here and they said yes she is amazing, she loves to dress up, to dance and she rings the bell everyday on her way out of treatment. So in her beautiful honor and for everyone else here… and for every bad a$$, brave being walking this path. (And with a lot of encouragement from my amazing, incredible nurses) I rang it on my way out. Prayers up that it’s the final time forever and ever. AMEN and amen. #breastcancer #ourhusband
