Meet Stephen Brueggerhoff, county extension agent in Brazos County! 

With more than 22 years of experience in horticulture and environmental education, Stephen is growing knowledge and community across the Brazos Valley. Whether he's offering expert advice to home gardeners or supporting the local green industry, his work reflects a deep commitment to AgriLife Extension’s mission of service and education.

Stephen is also the host of Garden Success on kamutvfm, a live call-in radio show where listeners can get timely, research-backed tips for gardening in Texas. From native plants to landscape care, Stephen connects with the public in a way that’s both informative and approachable.

He proudly advises and collaborates with the BrazosTXMG, helping coordinate educational programs that empower residents with practical, science-based solutions.

A graduate of Sam Houston State University and the University of Washington, Stephen brings both academic expertise and real-world experience to his role. His passion for sustainable landscapes, native plants and community gardens has made him a respected voice in the horticulture world.
