This week, and every week, the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service celebrates and honors our #TexasVeterans.
 
Our agency holds a special connection with active duty, reserve components and veterans alike, and this connection is reflected through the many people, programs and partnerships that strengthen our ability to serve Texas.
 
Today, we join Texas A&M AgriLife in honoring Greg Wilson, one of our veterans who has decided to join AgriLife Extension as an integrated pest management specialist in San Angelo.

In acts of true selfless service, 10-year Army veteran Greg Wilson has returned to Texas in pursuit of ways to continue serving his country through agriculture.

Inspired by Texas A&M University's close relationship with Norman Borlaug's legacy, Wilson chose to study at the Texas A&M College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, where he earned two degrees in the Department of Soil and Crop Sciences and currently studies as a graduate student in the Department of Entomology. In addition to his studies, he works with txextension as an integrated pest management specialist in west Texas.

Through his role, Wilson connects with agricultural producers via crop improvement and pest management as he continues to bring his experiences in the military together with his passion for agriculture.
