Lisa Whittlesey is growing good kids around the world! What began with an impactful gardening experience for inmates in the federal prison system blossomed into a robust educational program tailored for children: the Junior Master Gardener program.

Whittlesey's brainchild - an international program with a variety of curricula, trainings and resources - was cultivated from her passionate outreach efforts. The team behind the program aims to provide teachers, youth leaders and students understand the basics of horticulture to grow a garden.
