A combination of rising temperatures, higher-than-normal amounts of rain, and urbanization increase the chances of a snake encounter. And with snake encounters, bites are possible. 🐍

While the texasdshs shared that half of reported bites by venomous snakes were “dry,” meaning no venom was injected into the victim, it's important to know a few basic precautions and principles.
