Continue celebrating #NationalFFAWeek with us as we check in with another former FFA member and current Aggie student!

Laura James '26 is a current student in the TAMU Department of Agricultural Leadership, Education, and Communications; she is seeking a degree in agricultural communications and journalism. Laura was the 2022-2023 Texas FFA State Vice President. She shared how her experience in the Texas FFA Association was a stepping stone to her becoming an Aggie:

"My years in FFA instilled in me a passion for the agriculture industry, and I knew I wanted to go somewhere that would help me turn that passion into a purpose. Texas A&M's legacy and stellar reputation within the agriculture community made it an obvious choice; coming here is one of the best decisions I've ever made. It makes me proud to walk the same campus that my grandfather and parents walked before me, and I consider it a great honor to be an Aggie. Texas FFA and Texas A&M have shaped my character profoundly and prepared me for a lifetime of service."
