When I left Congress in January 2025, Texas had six Black representatives in Congress. This runoff is the fight to keep that number from falling to 2, which would be the biggest reduction in Black voting power since Reconstruction. This race is about representation, power and making sure every community in Texas has a voice fighting for them in Washington. We’ve come too far to go backwards. #votingrightsact
