After the Supreme Court fast-tracked the elimination of majority-Black congressional districts, skipping its own 32-day certification process to do it, Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson issued a scathing dissent calling out her colleagues for violating the court's own rules to influence a political outcome.

Over 42,000 Louisiana voters had already cast mail-in ballots. Those votes? Now meaningless. And at least 4 other states, Alabama, Florida, South Carolina, and Tennessee, are already moving to redraw their maps.
