## Caption

One of the hardest lessons I’ve had to learn is that peace can feel unfamiliar when you’re used to intensity.

As a Scorpio Rising with Taurus governing my 7th house of relationship, this has been a major theme in my life.

For a long time, I unconsciously associated emotional stimulation with connection. So when love showed up gently… consistently… without chaos or emotional games… part of me interpreted it as something missing.

Not because the love was lacking, but because my nervous system did not yet know how to rest inside stability.

And in searching for intensity, I often created unnecessary turbulence around me. Not always dramatically. Sometimes subtly. Restlessness. Overcomplicating things. Looking for problems where there were none.

It took me years, heartbreak, and harm to my near and barring the guilt and shame of unconscious harm caused to my near and dear ones to realize how deeply sacred peace actually is.

How could I become a grounding presence for the people I loved if I could not recognize the beauty of steadiness when it stood before me in the doe eyes of my gentle-hearted wife?

Taurus has taught me that healthy love will not always feel intoxicating. Sometimes it feels calm. Clear. Rooted. Quietly nourishing.

And learning to appreciate that kind of love has changed my relationships, but most importantly is has empowered me to become a grounding force in the lives of my loved ones and clients which is something that allows me to value myself and overcome the feeling of failure that plagued me.
