The International Floorball Federation announces a strategic strengthening of its top executive management, effective mid-June 2026. This will involve the division of executive responsibilities into two key pillars, designed to enhance operational efficiency and significantly amplify floorball’s influence on the international sports stage.

In response to floorball’s dynamic growth and the evolving landscape of international sports governance, the IFF Central Board has approved this structural evolution. The current role of Secretary General will be split into a strategic function focused on external relations and an operational function for internal management.

John Liljelund, continuing as Secretary General, will dedicate his efforts to international advocacy and strategic projects, building upon his recent leadership roles in international sports federations. Zuzana Svobodová has been appointed as the new Executive Director. Her responsibilities will encompass the day-to-day management of the IFF, including human resources, finances, major events, and communications with national federations, with a strong emphasis on modernising internal processes and fostering greater collaboration.
