The UN High Seas Treaty is in force, but a massive loophole is threatening the 'Banana Hole' in the heart of the Arctic. 🍌🌊⁣

That’s why we started a petition and an expedition to the Arctic Deep to show why we need to protect this magical place. ⁣

Located in the vulnerable and largely unprotected Arctic, this area and its biodiversity should be safeguarded by international law. Instead, Norway has claimed the seabed to kickstart deep-sea mining. Luckily this danger is postponed at least until the end of 2029! ⁣
