Director Chris Appelhans appeared on the MBC variety show “Welcome, First Time in Korea?” and shared some of the references that inspired his creative process 👀

Alongside the already well-known references for the characters, Chris revealed that he didn’t just study actors for their visuals — he also paid close attention to their facial expressions and acting details.

One example he shared was how Song Joongki’s (hi_songjoongki) expression changes in “Vincenzo” were used as inspiration for Jinu 😳

Honestly, with this level of detail from the director… no wonder the film became such a huge success 🔥
